淡水天元宮－櫻花之美

淡水天元宮近年來以櫻花聞名大台北地區，一整片的櫻花是在1970年代左右，由上百名的志工親手栽種出來，以台灣原生種山櫻花階上日本吉野櫻，使得在同一株櫻花樹上可看見兩種不同的櫻花，粉紅、嫩白等顏色在天元宮園區內繁華盛開，單瓣櫻花花形是最典型的櫻花圖案，盛開時節約在每年的3至4月間，屬於薔薇科落葉喬木，花瓣為白色單瓣，而台灣山櫻花同樣屬於薔薇科落葉喬木，約在每年一至四月開花，深桃紅色的花色相當討喜，而天元宮櫻花的特色結合了兩種櫻花的特色，形成相當優美的景觀，成為淡水天元宮最獨特的自然奇景。
